The EVC Bottom Bin Activators in recent years have successfully replaced the draw-off belt feeders, which have been used for a long time in return sand extraction from the main storage silos.

The machine is composed of two main units: the upper body, fixed with a circular flange to the silo's bottom opening, from where the vibratory lower unit of truncated cone shape hangs with a 30 degree inclination.

The machine is equipped with assembly base for the electric motor vibrators and the gate valve, placed at the discharge opening.

The units are connected through a flexible toroidal seal-lip, which ensures an excellent sealing from dust and sand spillage.

The vibratory unit hangs from hooks mounted at regular distance and equipped with vibration dampening elements.

the vibratory lower part is equipped with an internal diaphragm of truncated cone shape manufactured with carbide steel plate and connected to the eternal part by radial elements, placed in correspondence of vibrators in order to obtain the best vibration transmission.

The electrical vibrators are equipped with eccentric masses, adjustable when the machine is not in operation.

A manually operated gate valve is placed at the discharge opening.

An important advantage provided by this machine is the elimination of the "coning effect", which affects the sand mass stored in big silos when equipped with draw off belt feeders emptying the system.

Therefore, the availability of the whole quantity of the sand stored in the silos is assured, as any risk of sedimentation or adhesion to the walls is excluded.

No vibration is transmitted to the structure and the unit operation ensures a very low noise level.

These machines require very limited maintenance.
