AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF GREEN SAND MOISTURE

 

Space PGF moisture controllers were first introduced to the market in 1984.

 

Since that time there have been many upgrades, as component and technology improvements became available. Over 650 units had been sold world-wide, and the device is recognized by many leading foundries as being the most accurate available to the industry.

 

The unit comes in two forms, the PGF-3 for batch mixers, and the PGF-3-CP for continuous mixers.

All measures and calculations are carried out before the sand introduction into the mixer without affecting the mix cycle

Calculation of the amount of water to be added with automatic compensation of evaporation losses, generated by sand temperature, mixing time, blowing time and enviromental conditions

Autocheck at the start of each cycle

Incidental anomalies issue appropriate messages in the screen and produce signal alarms with help messages to remove the cause
